Yoda was wrong

Of course you always want to “do”, but you often can’t get there unless you “try”.

Perhaps some of this is about mindset.  If you’re trying to do something without confidence, without intent, without a plan – then you set yourself up for a higher likelihood of failure.

But even with confidence, skill and planning, you will “try” plenty of things that don’t go as planned.

If you’re waiting to only “try” things that are 100% guaranteed to succeed, you won’t take nearly as many risks as you need to be successful.

The path to success is paved with failure.  It’s paved with trying and trying and trying again. When most people give you, successful people keep trying and testing and iterating.  They keep picking themselves back up off of the floor.  They are persistent, stubborn, relentless.

They fail fast, fail often, and fail forward.

You cannot do until you try.
