Summary

The Client Services Manager sets the client engagement up for success and operationalizes client engagements. The position works with the client services director to ensure the appropriate resources are allocated to the engagement. This role is responsible for managing the engagement to ensure requirements as outlined in the proposal are met. The client manager will lead the development of customized marketing strategies and projects in support of the clients’ mission. The client manager acts as the main point of contact for the client and works closely with the team to coordinate client communications and final deliverables. This position will manage and develop a team of assigned marketing professionals

Essential Functions

Develops project timelines and production schedules in alignment with approved scope-of-work proposal; translates the approved scope-of-work proposal into production in order to meet stated deliverables per the terms of the agreement.

• Defines each deliverable outlined in the scope of work proposal, setting expectations within the  agency that align with clients’expectations.
• Develops industry expertise around clients’industry, competition and marketplace, incorporate learnings to recommendations
• Develops a comprehensive custom marketing strategy and plan for assigned clients.
• Operates in a marketing project management role, coordinating marketing activities and tactics that align and support client strategies.
• Oversees implementation of marketing programs across multiple channels including email, direct mail, telemarketing, web site, social media, advertising and more.
• Works with account team, client, and internal and third party resources/vendors (project team) to ensure execution of client deliverables from start to finish.
• Forecasts and tracks key account metrics as defined by the scope of work proposal. Prepares reports on account status, clearly communicate progress with Account Director/management team.
• Resolves program issues as appropriate, assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
• Manages budget for out of pocket expenses, track 3rd party invoices, ensuring documented approval from client.
• Manages and develops assigned team members which includes, but is not limited to hiring, onboarding, performance management, salary administration, training and development, etc. Acts as resource, coach, mentor for junior team members, provide guidance and training as necessary, for individuals not directly reporting to them.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field and five (5) to eight (8) plus year’s experience in relevant marketing and project management positions, or equivalent years of combined education and relevant experience. Client management and managing direct reports experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in B2B marketing and sales funnel management principles.
• Proven ability to contribute to marketing program execution working in cross-functional team environments.
• Strong communication skills, including writing, editing and presentation skills.
• Ability to organize and oversee multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
• Prior experience building and managing client-vendor relationships.
• Demonstrated analytical skills.
• Prior experience tracking and managing budgets, out of pocket client expenditures.
• Intermediate skill level in MS Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Must be results focused and detail oriented.
