You may already be aware of Ghostery from its super valuable browser plugin that will highlight what is running on various websites. For us marketing nerds, seeing what scripts are running and what technologies companies are putting to work for their on-line marketing efforts is super cool.
I recently had the opportunity to speak with CEO Scott Meyer and Vice President of Marketing Manny Ataebi about their Ghostery Enterprise offering and was blown away.
If your website is critical to your business (if you don’t think this, we should talk) then the experience delivered to a visitor has to be a top priority. If you have added various plugins, scripts, ad network connections, and any other thing designed to capture information or enhance the end-user experience then odds are you have no idea where information is flowing or where latency is occurring in the various handoffs and updates.
