Sheena’s App of the Week: Coda

I forget how I heard about Coda, but boy oh boy.  I’m a fan.  Having a simple, one-source of truth doc with so much functionality and flexibility is really something!

From the Coda Website:

In a world full of applications, why do documents and spreadsheets still run the world? And why haven’t they been updated in over 50 years? Coda is a new kind of doc that brings words, data, and teams together.

It comes with a set of building blocks that anyone can combine to create a doc as powerful as an app.

Meet the evolution of docs.
Simple. Familiar. But built to adapt to your team’s needs. Coda brings all your words, data, and teamwork into one powerful doc.

The doc for everyone.
Coda feels familiar like a doc and engaging like an app, so your team can jump in quickly, collaborate effectively, and make decisions that stick.

Customize to fit your team.
As teams grow or plans change, you can use Coda’s building blocks to evolve your doc seamlessly—like when a to-do list graduates to a beautiful task board.

No more stale data.
With connected data, tables talk to each other and edits show up everywhere. So you can roll-up your team’s plan to an executive dashboard and sync updates automatically.

Do it all from your doc.
Pull Google calendars into the team wiki and push updates to Slack automatically. Connect to the apps you use every day and add endless capabilities to your docs.

This 97 second video does a great (and speedy) job of showing you the potential.

I find it easy and fun to use.  The training, templates, add on “packs” and integrations are numerous and increasing all the time.

I love that you only pay for the license of the doc creator and not for users and members too!

Check it out and let me know how you use it.
