After the death of her husband in 2016, Jill’s journey and motivations began changing from a sales focused career to bringing people together.
Here’s just a taste of the wisdom and insights shared … when it comes to interacting and having discussions with people where you don’t share the same opinions, beliefs, and values….It’s about:

  • Curiosity and conversation, not about conversion (you won’t convince anyone)
  • Asking questions
  • Brainstorming
  • Offering another perspective
  • Seeking to understand others’ point of view
  • Finding common ground
  • Sharing resources
  • Educating yourself on different viewpoints
  • Swapping the word “problem” (which causes us to sink) to “challenge” which inspires solutions
  • Finding your own voice
  • Having more communal, in-person contact
  • Deeper, more substantial conversations
  • Embracing the hard conversations (even with family so you have no regrets)
  • Feeling safe and providing safety for others
  • Coming with and assuming good intentions
  • Sharing what you think
  • Recognizing and celebrating each other’s talents (like thinkers vs. action takers)
  • Learning from others
  • Remembering the humanity in us all
  • Not judging a book by it’s cover
  • Envisioning a better future (vs. focusing on the problems of now)
  • Bringing people together
  • Asking “What’s Really Possible”?
