I don’t know when Solv first came on the scene, but I encountered it in 2020 when I used it to sign up for a COVID-19 PCR test, and I’ve been using it ever since. On the most basic level, it’s a healthcare appointment booking platform. But there’s so much more to it. Solv is trying to change healthcare—for good.
How It Works
Solv partners with thousands of physicians and providers to increase access to healthcare, satisfy patients, and improve outcomes. As a consumer (and potential patient), you use the app to book in-person care, care over video, a COVID-19 test or a COVID-19 vaccine.
The app connects you with physicians, urgent care centers, and testing sites near you that have immediate availability. So instead of wasting time calling around to different clinics, you can get seen right away instead of having to go to the emergency room.
Solv’s relationships with urgent care centers across the country means consumers like us can simply log into the app to see all open times for urgent care appointments nearby. What a godsend!
After you’ve booked either an in-person or video visit, you can easily add your info to the app and skip the annoying paperwork. It’s as easy as taking a photo of your insurance card within the app itself.
Then, once you’re at the clinic or ready for the virtual visit, you “Check-In” via the app. This way you avoid a potentially long wait because the physician or provider already has your completed info and now knows you’re ready to be seen!

The online homepage contains 4 different search queries for each of 4 types of visits, making it easy to get the results you need as fast as possible.
And if you don’t have time to find care that way, you can simply click on one of the many prompts representing reasons for a visit.
My Favorite Part
Step-by-step, the app will lead me through a series of statements about my insurance in a way that’s easy-to-understand. Because of Solv, I feel empowered rather than confused!
