There are numerous platforms, tools and technologies at the disposal of every marketer—almost too many. If you’ve ever seen Scott Brinker’s annual Marketing Technology Landscape Supergraphic, you’ll agree with me. In 2015 there were around 2,000 martech solutions and in 2021 there are 8,000! Check out the article to see the breakdown of solutions, percentage of active growth since 2019, and which subcategories are seeing the most growth.

There’s no way a person or even team of marketers can keep up and in turn, we get in the habit of using the same tools. You might find yourself sticking with the tools your familiar with or that you don’t have enough time to research and explore new tools in the market.

You’re likely missing out on some really great tools that could help you achieve your goals more effectively and/or efficiently. But who has the time and energy to check them out?  I present to you The B2B Marketer’s Quick Start Guide!

Every month I’ll focus on a different martech solution category or type such as sales automation or ABM orchestration.  I’ll provide a quick rundown of the solution, provide some pros and cons, maybe some benchmarks—you’ll have to read and find out! I’ll include solutions people are less familiar with and make sure to include the popular ones for comparison. My goal is to provide you a quick guide to martech solutions so you can familiarize yourself easier and faster.
